The Site Selectors Guild announced the winners of the first annual Excellence in Economic Development award. The awards were divided into six categories, which were:
- Small Town EDO
- County EDO
- Metropolitan Area EDO
- State EDO
- Special Jurisdiction EDO

The recipients of the awards will be honored at the Site Selectors Guild conference on January 22-24 in Orlando.
